Bay County man sentenced to life in prison for molestation charges

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A Bay County man was sentenced to life in prison for molestation.

A judge sentenced William Lacy, III, to life in prison for three counts of lewd or lascivious molestation, followed by five years in prison for three counts of possession or control of a material including sexual conduct of a child, followed by 15 years in prison for three counts of promoting sexual performance by a child.

In October, a jury found Lacy guilty. They found he had pornographic photos of a child saved on his phone and admitted to molesting the same child twice. Lacy also told investigators he would get sexually excited when the victim sat on his lap.

Lacy has been designated a sexual predator.
