BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - More than a million dollars is headed to Bay County for hurricane relief.
Wednesday commissioners officially signed off on a grant that will bring $1.6 million to the county.
The money comes from a $25 million pot allotted by the state legislature for counties, cities, and other governmental entities affected by Hurricane Michael.
The money will be put toward the county's general fund to assist with its lost property tax revenue as a result of the storm.
