PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Bay District Schools is working to make sure no child goes hungry over Christmas break.

On Friday December 20, the last day of school before break, they will have a pop-up food pantry at Tommy Oliver Stadium from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
They're partnering with Feeding the Gulf Coast to make this happen, who will be giving the district 80,000 pounds of food for families in need.
Folks will be able to drive their car right up to a line of people where they will then place the food in your car without you even having to get out.
Sharon Michalik, the Director of Communications for Bay District Schools, said, "It's also a time of worry and concern for families because many of our students have come to rely on the free breakfast and lunch, and that comes to an end during Christmas break, so we wanted to do anything we could to push out as much food as possible."
All you have to do to get the food is fill out a form and present your ID. You don't have to provide proof of income.
They are in need of volunteers, so if you'd like to volunteer for the food pantry, contact the Bay District Schools Office.
