Bay District Schools is providing a summer help hotline for anyone who may have questions about summer activities.

The hotline is manned by off duty teachers and is available for calls Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The hotline provides answers for any questions parents may have regarding things like summer activities, free meal opportunities, and counseling.

Sharon Michalik, Director of Communications for Bay District Schools, said, "We've been brainstorming since the storm what we can do to help support our families and so we thought that this would be a wonderful resource for them, nothing that we've ever had before, just because we know that families are displaced and so the things that they have always done in the summer may not be open, may not be available, may not be affordable."

The number for the hotline is 850-767-HELP (4357).
