Starting either the first or second week of December, they will have food pantries open at four different schools in the county, available to all students.
The pantries will be at Bay High School, Rutherford, Jinks Middle School, and Waller Elementary.
The funding and food for the pantries comes from two organizations- Feeding Florida and Feeding the Gulf Coast.
"Students will be able to take the food home themselves, if they're able to do that, or they'll be able to, like their mom or grandma, will be able to come and get the food, but it's just for all Bay District Schools students, so the students will have to be actively enrolled in our schools and then the family can access what's in the pantry," said Sharon Michalik, the Director of Communications for Bay District Schools.
Although they don't need donations at the moment, district officials said they will most likely start taking food donations at some point.
