Bay, Gulf, Calhoun, and Jackson Counties not issued burn authorizations
Do not burn your Hurricane Michael debris just yet, you might not be allowed to according to the state.
Friday, the Florida Forest Service, Chipola Forestry Center, has put a stop to authorizing any outdoor burns until further notice.
They say we are in critical fire weather and the increasing dry conditions have created a risk for wildfire potential.
The counties impacted include Bay, Gulf, Calhoun, and Jackson.
If you live in the area, do not burn any yard debris, pile burns and silvicultural burns. Chiploa Forestry says to be extremely cautious when building campfires, cooking outside, and using legal fireworks.
They say they will not issue authorizations until weather conditions improve.
