PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Panama City Beach wrapped up its Beach Home for the Holidays event Saturday evening.
The event served as a way for locals and visitors to get into the holiday spirit in the wake of Hurricane Michael.
It featured campfires with s'mores, Santa's Village, and even some Christmas carolers.
Live music was performed by John Berry Friday night and the Panama City POPS Orchestra and Lorrie Morgan took the stage Saturday.
Organizers said they want the Home for the Holidays event to become a new tradition for families.
Jayna Leach, the Vice President of Marketing of Visit Panama City Beach said, "[Families should] Come and celebrate the holiday here in Panama City Beach with their family. That's how it got started. Of course this year, we're making it all about community so if our visitors are here we hope they come over and join us of course."
Each night ended with a fireworks display.
