DESTIN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Blessing of the Youth in Destin looks a little different this year.

The tradition started 16 years ago as a branch off of the Blessing of the Fleet.
Each year pastors try to do a large gathering of kids, but with the coronavirus, they had to change plans this year.
They drove around in party buses to neighborhoods where the kids live to bring the party to them.
Family Pastor at Shoreline Church, Matt Metcalfe said it was important they continue this tradition.
"It's a connecting point, and at a time, especially right now where things feel so disconnected, we want to make sure we're doing our best to stay connected with them," said Metcalfe.
The kids also received goodies, and seniors got a special gift for graduation.
