Saturday morning Comcast teamed up with the Girls and Boys Club Chapman unit in Millville to help clean up around the area for the 18th annual Comcast Cares Day.

Eric Jeffreys, the Comcast Customer Service Manager for Panama City said, "You can see lots of people still needing help, you can still see a lot of blue roofs and stuff. If it's just the little bit of time that we're out here today and do our best to help them out then that's something we're trying to do to help the community out."

The group cleaned parts of Daffin Park and the Millville Cemetery where they helped clean up trash and debris, as well as helped with yard work.

Members of Comcast and members along with staff from the Boys and Girls Club like Barclay Dixon, also stepped in to help.

Dixon said, "It feels good to be able to be a part of it. There's still so much work to be done and just to step up and kind of being all together and doing it, it's a very rewarding feeling."

Officials say there were between 75 to 100 volunteers of all ages willing to roll their sleeves up and help clean their community.

Jaden Bell, joined by his friend Javar Bowden who are both members of the Boys & Girls Club said, "You can help and make the city more better than what it was."

While there's still work left to do, communities are continuing to band together to help beautify the area.
