COVID-19 viral testing and FDA approved antibody testing in Bay County

The Florida Department of Health in Bay County released information on where you can find COVID-19 viral testing sites and FDA approved antibody testing sites throughout Bay County.

Health officials say you can schedule an appointment to get tested for COVID-19 at the Bay County Health Department IF you have symptoms and are a healthcare facility worker, first responder, worker in a congregated living setting, resident in a long-term care facility of congregated living setting, have underlying health conditions, or if you are over 65 years-old.

If you meet the criteria you can call the department of health at 850-872-4455 Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. to be screened. There is no fee but, if you have insurance your insurance will be billed.

PanCare Health is offering testing at Arnold High School and at the Panama City Mall to anyone with or without symptoms by appointment.

To schedule an appointment you can call the PanCare COVID-19 hotline at 850-215-4181 Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. There is no fee but, if you have insurance your insurance will be billed.

Nations Best Family Health Care is offering testing anyone with or without symptoms by appointment. If you do not have insurance or they do not accept your provider there may be an office visit fee between $115 - $150. To schedule an appointment you can call 850-481-1101 Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Coastal Internal Medicine is offering testing anyone with or without symptoms by appointment. If you do not have insurance or they do not accept your provider there may be an office visit fee between $115 - $150. To schedule an appointment you can call 850-234-5151 Monday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Emerald Coast Urgent Care is testing. To see if you qualify you must call them to discuss. If you do not have insurance or they do not accept your provider there may be an office visit fee. To see if you qualify call 850-629-0505 Seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Some places are now offering FDA approved antibody testing.

Health officials say they do not know if having antibodies can protect you from catching COVID-19 again or how long the protection lasts.
