Celebrating National Adopt A Shelter Pet Day with a local shelter

BAY COUNTY, (WJHG) - Looking for a new best friend? April 30 marks National Adopt A Shelter Pet Day. Jordan McCool was live at the Humane Society of Bay County with more.

Shelter manager Lauryn Gill says that while the shelter is not currently at its max capacity there are still a lot of animals waiting for their forever home. Dogs are $100. Puppies are $130. Cats are $80. Kittens are $100. Those interested in adopting are encouraged to come to the shelter, located at 1600 Bay Avenue.
