County Road 280A is back open after crews filled a hole that opened up on the road.

Walton County Public Works crews worked all day Wednesday to fill the hole that was caused by a spring under the road.

Commissioner Danny Glidewell said the hole is filled with dirt, so it will still need resurfacing at a later date.

The 7-foot deep hole opened up in the road after a dump truck drove over the area where the ground gave way.
