JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Plans are moving forward for the cleanup process of the Dozier School for Boys in Marianna.
Jackson County officials are requesting almost $6 million under Governor Rick Scott's Job Growth Fund.
The money is focused on a few different things at the intersection of I-10 and Penn Avenue.
The big project is the rehabilitation of the 1,400 acre Boys School property.
There are plans to turn it into an autism transition center.
People with autism will be able to receive training for jobs at places like the Family Dollar Distribution Center.
