Creating a special dinner for your Valentine
If you're wanting to treat your Valentine to a fancy homemade dinner, some local chefs have some tips for you. They joined us in the studio with more.
Or if you'd rather take them out, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar is located in Sandestin and will be offering a special menu for Valentine's weekend.
If you missed it, here's their recipe for filet mignon and lobster tail:
1 Filet Mignon 6 oz
¾ tsp. Salt & Pepper Blend
1 ½ oz. Mushroom Deluxe
1 oz. Fig Demi-Glace Sauce
1 Lobster Tail, North Atlantic Baked
1 Lemon Half, Seared
2 oz. Melter butter
1.Season both sides of steak with Salt & Pepper
2.Cook in broiler to the desired temperature, let steak rest 4-5 minutes
3.Insert thermometer vertically into center of the steak to confirm proper holding temperature
4.Bake Lobster Tail with paprika sprinkled on top at 400 degrees for 15 minutes
5.Heat Mushrooms under broiler for 2 minutes
6.Place Lobster Tail on right side of plate with Seared Lemon
7.Place Mushrooms on left side hot plate, place steak over Mushrooms
8.Ladle Fig Demi-Glace over front half of steak
9.Garnish with Parsley and serve with melted butter
