Crestview interim chief of police to retire

CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Crestview's interim police chief will retire at the end of August after a 39-year career in law enforcement.

Police Chief Lisa Sprague turned in a letter to Crestview's City Manager Tim Bolduc announcing her plan to retire. She has acted as interim police chief since December.

In announcing her retirement, Chief Sprague says she intends to work with the new chief, whom Bolduc expects to appoint mid-August.

Her official last day will be August 27th.

Sprague says she looks forward to spending more time with her family and intends to start a private consulting practice.
