The Bay County Public Library is holding STEM classes this summer to keep children learning while they're out of school.

Monday morning kids played with Dash the Robot and learned how to use coding to make him move.

Dash was coded using an iPad, and taught team building skills while kids had fun.

The program is for children ages seven to ten.

Sarah Burris, Community Relations & Marketing Coordinator for the Bay County Public Library, said, "The program teaches kids basic Blockly coding and so the robot, as you saw, is adorable and they're able to kind of say... give it directions and then guide the robot to do certain things."

The other Dash the Robot classes are full but there will be more opportunities for kids to participate in programming classes throughout the summer.
