Deborah Spillers wins the Golden Apple

Congratulations to this week's Golden Apple winner, Deborah Spillers.

Spillers has been teaching for over three decades. She's currently a kindergarten teacher at Hutchison Beach Elementary School.

Spillers said she has a great class this year and is very grateful for her kindergarten team and parent volunteers. She loves reading to her students, singing songs and doing other interactive work.

"My favorite part is really greeting the students, I miss them so much, and first dealing with any emotions, because they've been through a lot," Spiller said.
