"We're the same Blountstown Tigers whenever I was in high school, so now I'm able to bring back all experiences that I've accumulated at college and off on my own to add to the greatness of Blountstown High School," Roulhac said.
Roulhac teaches ninth grade English and a leadership class.
"I think teaching those leadership skills and why it's important to be an active community member, why it's important to celebrate your strengths and build other people up because it goes all in to creating and establishing this community," Roulhac said.
He's only been teaching for three years, and he's already getting recognized for this dedication to the classroom. This is his first year at Blountstown High School, and he was just named teacher of the year.
"It reassures me that I'm doing everything that I need to be doing in terms of the education profession and in terms of shaping these young people, it just reaffirms to me that I'm on the right path," Roulhac said.
This Golden Apple winner says teaching is something he's always wanted to do and he's looking forward to many more years in the classroom.
