Dry, cold weather boosts car wash business

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The last time we had measurable rain in Bay County was all the way back on September 27th.

The dry spell may not be ideal for farmers, but some other businesses seem to be benefiting.

At Waterworx on 23rd street, cars were lined up to get all the dust and grime off Monday. Officials at Waterworx say with all the dry weather business has been good.

"It's been pretty good, been pretty busy, had a lot of dust on the cars and they're coming here to get it cleaned off," said District Manager Kyle Pribbenow.

Pribbenow also said it's not just the dry weather that's boosting business. He said each year as the weather gets colder, fewer people want to go outside and wash their cars, so they come to the car wash.
