PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Easter Bunny is letting kids get an early start to the egg hunt this year!

Saturday at H.G. Harders Park in Panama City around 7,000 eggs were hidden among two egg hunting areas, including special prizes for those who found a gold or silver egg.

One area was sectioned off for kids ages five to nine, and the other for toddlers.

Parents say events like this are a great experience for the kids.

"Oh it means everything that the kids can participate and do Easter and see the Easter Bunny and take pictures and if you didn't have that kind of stuff, the holidays wouldn't be the same," said Panama City resident, Tammi Poyner.

Prizes ranged from gift baskets to stuffed animals; leaving many happy kids with a big smile.
