FEMA reimbursing Bay County with millions

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - FEMA is reimbursing Bay County with millions of dollars for emergency response actions before and after Hurricane Michael.

As part of its Public Assistance Program, the agency is giving $7.2 million for protective actions including: search and rescue, flood fighting, sheltering, roof tarping, mold remediation, pumping, safety inspections and placing barricades.

FEMA says this is half of the money it will give. The rest will come after all documentation is turned in and will total about $14.5 million.
