Last week we told you about a fish kill near the Bay and Washington County line. We now know more about the possible cause.

Last week dozens of fish washed up on the shores of Little Island Pond in Bay County.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the most common cause of fish kills this time of year is the lack of dissolved oxygen in the water. A biologist with the FWC says that is most commonly caused by the water temperatures being unseasonably warm.
