"Field of Screams" now open in Cottondale

COTTONDALE, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Each October, the Mosier Family Farm in Cottondale transforms into the Mosier Field of Screams.

For seven years, the Mosiers have invited the public to enjoy a haunted corn maze.

"It has become a really big hit around here," Katie Mosier said. "People love to come out and have fun. They really enjoy it."

This isn't your everyday corn maze.

"We actually have live characters," Katie said. "It's not all props. You never really know what's fake and what's real."

Most of the people working the corn maze are part of the Mosier family, representing a wide range of ages.

All ages are welcome, the family just asks parents to use judgement with their children.

"We are a family event. If you would let them watch a scary movie, they're probably going to be just fine out here," Katie said. "It really just depends on the child."

Admission to the corn maze is $8.

The corn maze is open every Friday and Saturday in October from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.
