Florida Department of Health releases latest COVID-19 Update

There are five new deaths as of Thursday morning bringing the total number of deaths in Florida to 28. (MGN).

FLORIDA, (WJHG/WECP) - The Florida Department of Health says as of Thursday morning, there are 378 new cases of COVID-19 in Florida. This brings the total number of cases to 2,355.

The FDOH says 2,235 of the confirmed cases are in Florida residents and 120 of the confirmed cases are in non-Florida residents.

There are now 13 cases in Walton County, 21 in Okaloosa County, and three in Bay County.

Five people have died who tested positive for COVID-19 in Clay, Hillsborough and Orange counties, bringing the total number of deaths in Florida to 28.
