Food trucks on a Friday, it can't get any better than that!

Friday marked the first day of Food Truck Friday at the Bay County Government Center.

The first to serve to the community was Smok N Butts BBQ and Taqueria Sanchez.

Both vendors were set up across the parking lot from the library from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Folks were ready and waiting in line to chow down.

"We were given a task a few months ago to reach out to some of the vendors and see if they'd be willing to participate with this. We called around and got a handful of them who were really excited about it," Bay County Parks and Recreation activities assistant coordinator Ted Myron said. "One thing led to another, and they built this nice little eatery out here with picnic tables."

March 6, Crepe and Cream and Grub Slinger will be the featured trucks.

If you're interested in being a vendor, you can call Bay County Parks and Recreation at 850-248-8690.

A schedule of upcoming Food Truck Fridays can be found on the county’s events calendar at baycountyfl.gov.
