Former Jackson County Sheriff's deputy faces new charges

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Jackson County Sheriff's deputy charged with planting drugs during traffic stops is now facing more charges.

Zachary Wester is already facing charges of official misconduct, fabricating evidence, and false imprisonment.

The State Attorney's Office said during follow-up interviews they discovered five more victims.

More than 100 cases that Wester worked while he was a deputy have been dropped in Jackson County.
