Former VAC director facing nine charges after Grand Jury indictment

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The former director of the Visual Arts Center of Northwest Florida is facing nine federal charges.

A Grand Jury is charging Vicki Middlemas with five counts of fraud by wire, radio, or television and four counts of fraud and false statements.

The indictment was filed last Tuesday.

The indictment accuses Middlemas of stealing thousands of dollars from what used to be the VAC, once housed in downtown Panama City.

The former Visual Arts Center is now under completely new management and a new name under the Bay Arts Alliance. The building is still located in downtown Panama City and is now called the Panama City Center for the Arts.
