PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Markus Bishop is the former pastor of Faith Christian Family Church in Panama City Beach, and on December 5th, he's putting his eleven-thousand square foot, multi-million dollar mansion in Panama City Beach on the auction block.
The bidding will start at $2 million. (WJHG/WECP)
Francis Santos, the Vice President of Fisher Auction Company said, "Six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, you've got a pool, resort style pool. You've got tennis, volleyball, basketball, game rooms. There's a living room, dining room, family room, den, office, it goes on and on."
Along with the many amenities, comes a pretty hefty price tag.
Santos said, "The requirements for the auction are a 50-thousand dollar cashier's check. You've got to have ten percent down on auction day and you have 30 days to close. The minimum bid is two-million dollars."
Officials say those who plan to register for the auction need to do so at least two days in advance.
"It's a gorgeous home," said Santos. "I really encourage anyone who is interested in Bay County to come out and see this home."
Hurricane Michael damaged part of the home, and according to auction company officials the repairs will not be cheap.
"Estimates to do the roof, windows, and some of the other points on the lot are between $600 - $800,000," said Santos.
Officials with the auction company say the list price was $3.7 million before the choice to take it to auction, and a recent appraisal listed the home at $4.4 million.
