Dylan Corbin was killed in a motorcycle accident in 2015. Now, his legacy lives on as local bikers host a poker run in his memory.

"It's to raise money for JROTC programs in Bay County, all of the high schools," said Chapter President of the E.O.D. Motorcycle Club, Mike Fennewald.

"When the high school students get with the JROTC program, helps them get a jump start to their military career," said President of the Green Knights Motorcycle Club, Brandon Davidson.

You might be wondering what the poker run entails.

"Well at each stop, the participant draws a card and a card is assigned a point value. When we get to Post 392, where the end of the poker run is, they'll add up the points and the person with the highest points wins a prize and lowest points win a prize," said Fennewald.

For the fourth annual run, about 70 riders stopped at TJ's Tavern, the Salty Goat, the Salty Hobo and two others.

"This is the only fundraiser that we do each year as part of the motorcycle foundation and that's how it got started," said Fennewald.

"Just the foundation as a whole comes together and brings the community, the bikers together to help out the community, so it's been a great time," said Davidson.

Now the group is helping more than JROTC students; the bikers say events like these help themselves get out and ride, especially after Hurricane Michael.

"As locals, we went through a lot. So we're here supporting each other, it seems like riding is a wind therapy, that's what I call it," said benefit rider, Kim Norred.

By hitting the road, the bikers are helping support the community.

The event on Saturday raised more than $2,200.
