Good Friday morning everyone!
It's an active morning on radar as we have a band of heavy rains passing through the Panhandle followed up with some lighter scattered showers to the west. We'll be dealing with these rains through the morning commute. So be sure to grab the rain gear before you head out. The great news is you certainly won't need it all day!
Temperatures are spanning the 60s for most this morning with some cooler air already moving into our western zones and still a bit mild to the east. Breezy westerly winds draw in colder air throughout the day today. So we'll need to be sure to take a jacket with us this morning as the afternoon will be cooler!
Skies will clear out as the rain moves out through the late morning. A few stray light showers may still be possible through the morning. We'll expect to see any leftover rain end by 8 or 9am west of the Hwy331 corridor, from 9 to 10am between Hwy331 & 231, and wrapping up by 10 or 11am to the east of Hwy231.
This is a cold front passing through, so those westerly winds will be ushering in cooler conditions. We'll start the day in the mid to upper 60s for most this morning around sunrise and likely finish the day in the upper 50s to low 60s!
While a few clouds may roll in tonight, we're not expecting any other showers, and those clouds will be fleeting through the early morning hours of our Saturday. Saturday and Sunday wind up with abundant sunshine and a more seasonal feel with temps starting in the cold low 40s in the mornings and reaching highs in the low to mid 60s.
For today, rain showers sometimes heavy at times in the morning will give way to some sunshine in the afternoon. Temperatures turn chilly throughout the day as breezy westerly winds cause temperatures to fall into the upper 50s and low 60s this afternoon. Your 7 Day Forecast features a lot of sunshine and a more seasonal feel through the upcoming weekend!
