Good Friday morning everyone and TGIF!
It's another active morning on radar with cloudy skies and scattered showers passing through. We'll have to battle some of these through the morning drive before they clear out by the mid to late morning. We'll even see the clouds peel away to some afternoon sunshine!
Temperatures are pretty mild outside considering where we started this week. Just a light rain jacket will keep you warm enough for the upper 50s out the door this morning. We'll wind up with a very pleasant day after these showers as well. Clouds clear out and bring us a mostly sunny afternoon today. The cold air is lagging behind this front.
So under the sunshine this afternoon we'll manage a fairly mild upper 60 to near 70 degree high today.
Now if you have any evening plans, you'll want to dress a little warmer as temperatures will be cooling off pretty quickly tonight. We're heading down into the 40s on the coast to upper 30s inland tonight under clear skies and a light northwesterly wind. We'll notice a similar chill for both night's and mornings over the Panhandle this weekend.
However, abundant sunshine heads our way for Saturday and highs will be very seasonable in the low 60s. A few more clouds show up on Sunday as an area of low pressure develops in the Western Gulf. We'll still manage mostly sunny skies throughout our day and highs return to near 60 degrees.
This low will move easterly across the Gulf throughout the day and may even try to spring a late afternoon or evening shower over NWFL late in the day on Sunday on into Sunday night and Monday morning.
For today, mostly cloudy skies with a few showers in the morning. Clouds decrease and skies turn mostly sunny into the afternoon. Highs today reach the upper 60s near 70°. Your 7 Day Forecast has a beautiful weekend shaping up with chilly mornings and seasonal afternoons under plenty of sunshine.
