Good Friday morning everyone and TGIF!

It's a quiet start on radar and satellite is just showing a few mid level clouds overhead. It may filter out a little sunshine for some early on this morning. But we'll see them lift and disperse a bit more as the morning unfolds. They'll actually help us feel a bit more comfortable early on preventing the sun from warming us up to quick out of the nice start we have.

It's a beautiful June morning with humidity down and temperatures very comfortable in the low to mid 70s. That's down about 5-10° for many of us since yesterday morning and day's prior. You'll notice the difference right out the door!

We'll keep the less humid feel around for the day today. But it will gradually go back on the rise through the weekend.

As the sunshine opens up more through the mid to late morning, we'll warm up fast. Temperatures today will likely return to the 90s for most of us. The only exception I have is for the Forgotten Coast as they could see another batch of some afternoon scattered showers today with the cold front stalled out across the Eastern Panhandle.

That cold front will be a bit pesky heading into the weekend as well.

Rain chances will be a bit more likely in the afternoons for the Forgotten Coast over the weekend. But that front may whiffle-waffle back to the west and east at times this weekend. And that may bring in a chance for rain more along and south of Hwy20 on down toward the coast late in the day Saturday as it sways a little more westerly. It looks like a similar setup for Sunday as well, but highly dependent on the position of the front.

I don't think it'll be enough rain to ruin any plans on Saturday/Sunday afternoon or evening. However, it may have you going for cover for 30min or so. Otherwise, it'll still be warm this weekend with highs near 90° and mostly sunny skies.

Bottom Line...

For today, mostly sunny skies with a few stray afternoon showers along the Forgotten Coast. Highs today reach the low 90s, but it should be a tolerable heat with lower humidity. Your 7 Day Forecast keeps us running nicely into the weekend with a chance for a little late day rain Saturday afternoon, around and east of Hwy231.
