JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A local boy has gotten quite a bit of attention on social media lately.
Three-year-old Brooks Barber lives in Marianna. His mom started posting videos of him and the positive feedback flooded in.
She started him his own Facebook page--which now has almost 16,000 followers.
His most popular video came after Hurricane Michael. More than two million people watched as Brooks talked about how his community was recovering.
"The Panhandle still needs help, y'all," Brooks said. "Please keep our community in your prayers and remember we are 850 strong!"
Brooks has teamed up with the Riley Project in Jackson County to collect toys to give to kids at Christmas. The Riley Project was founded early this year after Marianna High School senior Riley Torbett passed away from an ATV accident.
