Governor Ron DeSantis is extending an executive order that suspends foreclosures and evictions.

In early April, Governor DeSantis issued

, which keeps banks from foreclosing on homes or landlords from evicting tenants due missed payments caused by the coronavirus COVID-19. The order is not relieving a person from their obligation to pay their mortgage or rent payments.

Thursday, DeSantis extended that order with another

, pushing the end date to June 2nd at 12:01 a.m.

Order 20 - 94 was set to expire May 17th.
