Gulf Power awarded for mutual aid work after Hurricane Irma

Wednesday, Gulf Power was recognized for their exception efforts after Hurricane Irma this past September.

After the storm knocked out power to nearly 5 million residents between Florida and Georgia, Gulf Power sent a teams of employees to assist Georgia and Tampa Power companies.

Now, the Edison Electric Institute has awarded local power company the "Emergency Assistance Award" for their mutual aid work.
