Holmes District Schools has announced graduation plans for the class of 2020.

Holmes District Schools leaders say they are committed to honoring seniors with traditional graduation ceremonies if at all possible, while obeying guidelines set out by the CDC.

All graduations will be held a Memorial Field in Bonifay. School leaders believe this will be the best place to have family members attend while still practicing social distancing and provide handicap access.

The graduation schedule will be:

Monday, June 1st - Poplar Springs at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, June 2nd - Bethlehem at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, June 4th - Holmes County High School

Friday, June 5th - Ponce de Leon at 7:30 p.m.

Due to the number of graduates at Holmes County High, the class will be divided into three separate ceremonies. Those ceremonies will be at 4, 6, and 8 p.m. Specific details will be announced by Holmes County High School.

Each graduate will get four admissions tickets to the ceremony. Seating will be assigned with sections for the graduates four guests and placement will be determined by a random drawing.

The school district also plans to provide a live stream for each ceremony on the school's Facebook page. There will also be outdoor screens set up at Bonifay K-8 all four nights and at the graduating school site the night of graduation. Each graduate will also be given a DVD of their ceremony, free of charge.

District leaders say these plans are subject to change as restrictions change.
