City officials say the banners of the veterans and service members will hang from the street lights in Downtown Panama City during different times of the year like Veterans Day.

The streetlight banners will include the veteran's name, branch of service, and photo in uniform.

The program is free and all you have to do is nominate someone who meets the qualifications. The program is open to all Bay County residents and immediate family members of Bay County residents. Officials say nominees will be selected on a first come first serve basis. To learn how to apply for the program click here.
