Hope School athletes honored Thursday

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Some very talented athletes were honored for their hard work on the court.

Hope School in Marianna hosted its athletic banquet Thursday, complete with balloons, trophies, and food.

Marianna High School Head Football Coach and Athletic Director John Donaldson was the guest speaker.

The teams represented included the cheer squad, volleyball team, and the skills team.

The Hawks, Thunderbirds, and Falcons basketball teams were also recognized.

"It's an honor for me to coach these guys," Falcons Coach Amos Spires said. "They're a great bunch of kids and this is the best time because they're going to enjoy everything."

At the end of the banquet, the Falcons and Thunderbirds received an extra gift bags that included a t-shirt and a letterman jacket.
