It's National Cut Your Energy Costs Day: Here's how you can lower your bill

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG) - As many work to better their finances entering into 2020, a guest with Gulf Power joined us in our studio to talk about ways to save on your bill in honor of National Cut Your Energy Costs Day.

Some tips for lowering your energy bill include changing your air filters at least once a month, switching to LED light bulbs, turning off lights and fans when not in use, and keeping your thermostat lower in the winter and higher in the summer. You can also weatherstrip your doors and seal your windows.

Gulf Power also provides in-home assessments to provide customized advice for your residence, or you can take advantage of their free online check up available on their website.
