JCPenney in Panama City helps local college students dress for success
Local college students had the opportunity to learn how to "dress for success" Sunday.
The JCPenney in Panama City partnered with Gulf Coast State College and Florida State University - Panama City campus to hold a "Suit Up" event.
Students from the two colleges got to choose from a variety of business casual clothes at a discounted price, and they could even get a makeover in the Sephora located inside the JCPenney.
Michael Kirke, a senior at Florida State University - Panama City, said about the event, "Fantastic. I mean, having a discount like this, especially with all of the other financial worries that we have to keep a count of when we're going through college, this is a great opportunity to relieve some of that stress."
JCPenneys across the country hold this event with more than 500 colleges.
Eric Calhoun, the General Manager of JCPenney in Panama City said, "First is to build partnership within the communit and be connected to the community, let them know that we're here and what great offers we have on an everyday basis, not only for apparel for the interviewing process but also with us having sephora inside JCPenney's we're offering mini makeovers."
JCPenney employees say they plan on holding many more events like this in the future.
