Jackson County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a man wanted for kidnapping, burglary and grand theft.

Sheriff's officials say they are looking for Calvin Ray Pitts. They believe he is driving a tan-colored Chevy Traverse with Florida license plates. They also say he is known to frequent the Dothan and Cottonwood, Alabama areas.

Officials say deputies responded to a report of a physical disturbance Friday night on Riverbend Road in Marianna.

They say when deputies arrived, they didn't find anyone at the residence. Deputies did find a vehicle known to be driven by Pitts. Deputies then determined a protective order was in place against Pitts for domestic violence.

They say the protective order was in place on behalf of the victim who resided at the residence deputies were called to.

Further investigation revealed "that Pitts had hidden his vehicle behind the victim's residence and waited for her to come home. Upon the victim's arrival, Pitts attacked the victim and forced her into her vehicle and fled the area."

Officials say deputies were later notified by the Dothan Police Department that the victim had been found and taken to a local hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Office at 850-482-9648.

Pitts should be considered armed and dangerous.
