Jackson County vehicle burglary suspect arrested in Bay County

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A man believed to be connected to multiple vehicle burglaries in Jackson County has been arrested in Bay County.

Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies say between February 16th and April 25th, there were vehicle burglaries in the areas of Oaks Drive, Shankle Drive, Sheffield Drive, Willow Way, Dianna Lane, Bales Drive, Meadowview Road, Club Drive, and Riverbend Road. They say during these burglaries, the suspect targeted unlocked cares.

Deputies say things stolen include guns, money, and electronics.

Bay County Sheriff's Deputies reached out to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office about Desmond Royster, 22, who had been arrested for several vehicle burglaries in Bay County.

Investigators say some of the items recovered could be connected to the vehicle burglaries in Jackson County.

Royster is facing charges in Bay County and has been booked into the Bay County Jail. He is also charged in Jackson County with Armed Burglary of a conveyance and grand theft of a firearm.

Deputies say more charges are pending.
