Jaycees Christmas Parade lights up Downtown Panama City
Downtown Panama City lit up its Christmas tree Friday night and now the Christmas spirit has spilled into the streets.
The annual Jaycees Christmas parade took place Saturday night in Downtown Panama City.
The parade featured floats from city officials, local businesses, and even a few familiar faces from NewsChannel 7.
Locals said the parade is a great way to kick off the holiday season and get into the Christmas spirit.
"I like the spirit of Christmas, the kids, the bands. My daughter is in the Bay High band." said Michelle Bascetta a Panama City resident.
Even the kids have their own favorite parts of the parade.
Barrett Starling, who was attending the parade with his parents, said his favorite part was, "The candy." Why? "Because it's yummy!"
The parade was free and open to all ages and ran from the Panama City Marina to Bay High.
