PANAMA CITY, FL (WJHG/WECP) - The Junior League of Panama City is helping meet the needs of new parents.
The league held a diaper bank at their office in Panama City Saturday.
Volunteers passed out diapers, training pants, and wipes.
League members say more than 62,000 diapers and training pants were given away in just a few hours.
Sara Walker, Chair of the Junior League of Panama City Diaper Bank, said, "Since the storm we've had a large influx of donation and an equally large influx of need in our community so we decided to, in addition to working with our partner agencies, move, distribute directly to the public as well."
The Junior League of Panama City says they hope to hold another diaper bank in the future.
