PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A local pageant titleholder wanted to brighten the days of others, so she made a visit to Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center Wednesday afternoon.
Schelby Kelly, Junior Miss Panama City, visited the hospital's pediatric unit to bring gifts to the patients on the floor.
She brought stockings, stuffed animals, and cards for the children as she walked room to room wishing the patients well.
Junior Miss Panama City believes a titleholder should exemplify kindness and helpfulness.
"I wanted to do this because I want to bring joy to the kids' life and I just wanted to help them and make them feel better," Kelly said.
She will pass down her title to the new Junior Miss Panama City in February.
