Kristen Thompson is this week's 850-Strong Student of the Week

Kristen Thompson is this week's 850-Strong Student of the Week.

Kristen is a senior at Wewahitchka High School. She maintains a 4.0 GPA while being a three-sport athlete.

She is a varsity cheerleader, basketball player, and softball player.

She is also a member of the National honor society.

Kristen is dual enrolled at Gulf Coast State College and she found out she is being awarded the Honor's Scholarship from the college.

She's excelling academically and athletically, all while finding time to volunteer at her church's care closet.

Her agenda wasn't always this full, Kristen became a three-sport athlete just last year.

"Softball and Basketball, like I was doing that all my life but, cheer is something surprisingly new, I decided to take on. I started doing cheer in junior year and it was definitely like a fun experience," Kristen explained.

Kristen plans to attend Gulf Coast State College after graduation and is thinking about majoring in marketing.
