Lack of hotel rooms leads to delayed flights

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - According to Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport Executive Director Parker McClellan, one of the challenges airlines have been facing is finding hotels for the crews who work late night flights and early morning departures.

This has caused flight delays or schedule changes.

United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and American Airlines have all found accommodations for their crews.

Delta anticipates being back to their normal service next week.

For now, airport staff encourages those with Delta flights to double check the status before arriving.
