Large drug bust in Marianna, three arrested
After conducting an investigation into the illegal sale and distribution of cocaine from a residence on Borden Street in Marianna, three men were arrested Friday.
According to officials with the Marianna Police Department, during the search of the home located within the 2800 block of Borden Street, investigators found 144.5 grams of marijuana, 9.3 grams of crack cocaine and 18.4 grams of powdered cocaine.
Police say they also discovered three firearms and other instruments used in the manufacture and sale of drugs.
Arrested were 42-year-old Orlando Dounel Miller, 28-year-old Demetrice Dontrel Ward, and Frederick Wayne Ward, Jr., all of Marianna.
All three face multiple charges, including Possession with the Intent to Sale Cocaine Within 1000 feet of a Church, Possession with the Intent to Sale Marijuana Within 1000 feet of a Church and Operating a Drug House among other charges.
Police say the men were transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility where they await their first appearance in court.
