'Large-scale meth distributor' arrested in Calhoun County
Calhoun County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a man they say was a large-scale meth distributor.
Deputies say along with the North Star Multijurisdictional Drug Task Force, they started an undercover investigation into Christopher LaFollette.
Deputies say LaFollette was a suspect for selling meth in the "Shelton's Corner" community. At the time of the investigation, deputies say LaFollette was also a person of interest in several crimes being investigated by the property crimes investigator.
Deputies say the investigation led them to believe LaFollette was a large-scale meth distributor.
According to deputies, they obtained a search warrant after probable cause. Deputies say while they were serving the warrant, LaFollette tried to drive away on an ATV but was surrounded my multiple law enforcement agencies. They say he was taken into custody immediately.
Deputies say LaFollette had $4,267 in cash, a stolen loaded 9mm handgun, 33 rounds of ammunition, 77.6 grams of crystal meth, hydrocodone and alprazolam pills bagged in small baggies, and drug paraphernalia in his possession at the time of his arrest.
James Tucker and Littleton Bramblett were also arrested during the search warrant.
Deputies say Tucker and Bramblett were in the driveway during the search warrant. According to deputies, they found a stolen 9mm handgun and loose ammunition in Tucker's car and they found a loaded 38 revolver on Bramblett.
Deputies say Tucker and Bramblett are both convicted felons.
Dana Pettit, LaFollette's girlfriend, was found in the home during the search warrant. Deputies say Pettit was in possession of drug paraphernalia and ammunition. Deputies say Pettit is also a convicted felon.
During the search warrant deputies say they found several other firearms and ATVs suspected of being stolen.
LaFollette was arrested on multiple gun and drug charges including trafficking meth, dealing in stolen property, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon among other charges.
Tucker and Pettit were both charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bramblett was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
