The League of Women Voters of Bay County hosted a mediated discussion Thursday to discuss the question, "How do we get the political system we want?"

The discussion, held at Gulf Coast State College, asked what the community needs to do, or give up, in order to find common ground within our communities and solve important problems.

The forum had a large turnout and was led by a number of National Issues Forum moderators, including former Panama City Mayor Scott Clemons.

Some of the issues discussed included the role of media in elections, as well as looking at various ways to solve political issues.
